LORRAINE KIMSA THEATRE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE, (formerly Young Peoples Theatre) is one of the country’s foremost and largest organizations dedicated to creating and producing professional theatre for young audiences. Through stage and studio productions for school and family audiences, new play development, and its drama school, LKTYP seeks to enlighten and inspire young people. LKTYP is celebrating its 42nd Anniversary this year, making it the oldest not-for-profit, professional theatre in Toronto.
LKTYP is currently searching for candidates to fill part-time permanent Sales Associate positions with the company. Reporting to the Ticketing Operations Manager, Sales Associates will:
- ensure the timely and accurate processing of telephone, mail, online, and over-the-counter ticket sales.
- conduct outbound calling for school groups, subscriptions, and single ticket sales.
- provide information on events, policies, performances and other enquiries from single ticket buyers, groups, schools, staff, and artists.
- perform daily check-ins for school groups.
- maintain accuracy of patron database.
- perform reception and administrative support functions, as required.
Preference will be given to those candidates possessing previous ticketing experience and a theatre background. The successful candidate will have a friendly, professional and courteous telephone manner, excellent communication and patron service skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with minimum supervision. He/she should also be computer literate and enjoy working in a team environment. Salary commensurate with experience.
