The SIRIUS THEATRICAL COMPANY was founded in 1989. It is a member of the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA), the Toronto Association of Acting Studios (TAAS), the Mississauga Arts Council, Arts Etobicoke, Theatre Ontario, and Lakeshore Arts. The Producing Artistic Director is Heather Dick. The company is committed to:
- Creating productions that challenge performers and audiences to examine their current social and political perspectives;
- Providing emerging theatre artists with professional work opportunities and valuable training;
- Reflecting the cultural diversity of the community; and
- Making theatre affordable and accessible to the community.

”Rich in “Canadiana”, the story traces the lives of Annie O’Ryan, a spinster from Belleville Ontario, and John Proctor, a grain farmer on Saskatchewan’s Great Plain. From their “stormy” first meeting at a rural CPR station, through the Great Depression and finally WWII, we share the hopes and dreams of a struggling Canadian family.”

- Annie O’Ryan –28 ages to 51 – feisty, independent, loving, wise
- Thomas Roger – 62 ages to 85 – fatherly, kind, caring, CP baggage porter
- John Proctor – 35 ages to 57 – tough on the outside, soft on the inside, shy
- Clare Proctor – 19 – feisty, independent, dreamer

PREPARATION
2 modern contrasting pieces. Each piece must be no more than 2 minutes in length. 1 piece must be Canadian. Be prepared to read from the scripts. Sides will be provided.
