T.O. Tix, Toronto’s One Stop Ticket Shop, is proud to announce that we are
now selling tickets for this week’s concerts for the Toronto Symphony
Orchestra’s production of Mahler Symphony 9. Former TSO Music Director
Jukka-Pekka Saraste returns to conduct one of the most achingly Romantic
of all symphonies: Gustav Mahler’s Ninth. His final completed work, it
bids farewell to everything he held dear: love, the dances of the central
European countryside, the bustle of the big city and finally to life
itself. It’s paired with a brand new work, commissioned by the Berlin
Philharmonic, which gifted Finnish composer Magnus Lindberg has created
specifically to be performed with Mahler’s Ninth.
Tickets will be available for 8pm performances on Thursday, February 7th,
and Saturday, February 9th, exclusively at our booth downtown at
Yonge-Dundas Square. Ticket prices vary, but tickets are limited, so don’t
miss out! The booth itself is open from Tuesday-Saturday, 12 noon to 6:30
pm.
