POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Front of House (FOH) Manager. This is a part-time hourly position. Given the nature of the responsibilities, this position is an afternoon and evening position.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to the Front of House Manager.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • On site duty manager working with stage management, staff and volunteers
  • Reporting of all theatre/building maintenance issues
  • Supervision of all events on the Berkeley site
  • Deliver an exemplary level of customer service to Canadian Stage Company patrons
  • Ensure customer safety and satisfaction
  • Nightly reports of FOH activities and all revenues

  • Demonstrated experience with a high level of responsibility
  • Experience supervising staff and volunteers
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, high energy, creativity, a collaborative spirit, and the cultural sensitivity needed to work effectively in a diverse environment of artists, producers, and creative and management teams
  • A passion for the performing arts and the desire to be part of a vibrant Canadian contemporary theatre company
  • Willingness and comfort in working evenings and weekends, including the responsibility for locking and securing the Berkeley Street Theatres
  • Bar/concession experience and Smart Serve Certification preferred
  • Up-to-date First Aid/CPR training is mandatory
