August 7 – Funkadesi
The 5-time winner of the Chicago Music Awards, Funkadesi’s worldly sound and positive vibe makes for an exceptional musical force. Each band member adds a unique cultural and musical contribution to create one unifying sound and vision. The diverse multi-ethnic communities within the band will translate well to Toronto audiences.

August 14 – Pavlov’s Dogs Orchestra
This award winning, energetic band offers an extraordinary style of rock with distinct cultural influences. Pavlov’s Dogs Orchestra (PDO) is a musical assortment that attracts mathematical listeners and classic rock fans alike. Winners of “People’s Choice – World Fusion” at the Independent Music Awards in 2009, PDO delivers an animated performance that leaves the audience wanting more every time.

August 1 & 2 – Toronto Turkish Festival
The Toronto Turkish Festival celebrates Turkish culture through music, exhibitions, arts, crafts, dance, shows and delicious food. Organized by the Canadian Turkish Friendship Community, the Festival invites you to a delightful two days, during which you can taste the colors of Türkiye!
August 9 – Incredible India
Celebrate India Day at Yonge-Dundas Square! This free daylong event will offer delicious Indian food, costumes, jewellery and a variety of cultural shows by different states of India.
August 14 & 15 – Filipinos Making Waves Festival
Filipinos Making Waves Festival takes a bow as a two-day cultural extravaganza at the heart of Toronto, Yonge-Dundas Square. The weekend puts the spotlight on Philippines, featuring its vibrant and colourful culture with outdoor performances and ethnic booths. The fun-filled entertainment schedule promises to be a memorable treat for all.
