Montgomery Theatre in PEI Canada is seeking a full time Producer. The successful applicant will be familiar with Canadian and international theatre best practices, including contracting, fundraising, and board governance. Reporting to the Artistic Director and the Board of Directors of the Not-For-Profit Theatre, the Producer will be expected to live in Prince Edward Island and travel internationally developing relationships on behalf of the theatre while maintaining a healthy organization at home. The Producer will be collaborative, imaginative, energized, community minded, respectful of artistry, diligent, inventive, organised, responsible and kind.
This one year contract is renewable for five years. Salary will be commensurate with experience. (starting at approximately $40,000 per year).

Montgomery Theatre produces plays from the Life and Times of L. M. Montgomery as a professional theatre operating under the Canadian Theatre Agreement. With a $300,000 annual operating budget, the theatre owns its permanent performance hall with production facilities and operates year round in a fishing village on the North Shore of Prince Edward Island, next to Montgomery’s home farm. We receive support from the Canada Council for the Arts, Prince Edward Island Government, The Regional Municipality and Tourism Association.
