PLAYING WITH FIRE is a unique, intensive master classes facilitated by Yael Farber for actors and performing artists /creators, writers and directors interested to deepen their process and open access to their “core fire”.

“Gifted artists are those drawn into the invitation of stage, and towards the sacrifice it demands. I am compelled by the hunger in these unique individuals. It is a calling unique to theatre’s trade. Facilitating such artists towards their deepest expression is my passion. I aspire to the possibility that every artist I work with may touch the core that is their fire: the gift that is intended to serve us all. And in this work – there is no compromise.”.- Yael Farber

Over 2 intensive days, Yael Farber will facilitate a group of artists in a powerful journey inwards towards core work. Whether a seasoned artist, or beginning your path, these 2 days will seek to open new ground. Accessing this fire is the initial exploration. Learning to navigate, drive and shape this power towards performance is the crucial companion to its discovery. Through a series of individual exercises, group and text work – the artist will access, identify and learn locate in their work – the fire that creates rather than destroys.

CALLING ALL PLAYWRIGHTS AND THEATRE CREATORS!

Carlos Bulosan Theatre is now accepting applications for the Ontario Arts Council’s Theatre Creators’ Reserve Program. This program is designed to help fund the creation of new work by Ontario-based artists.

CBT invites both new and emerging artists/play creators to submit applications.
