Playwrights Guild of Canada Hosts Playwriting Workshop for High School Youth
To celebrate National Youth Arts Week 2012, Playwrights Guild of Canada (PGC) will be hosting a FREE playwriting workshop for youth in grades 7-9. The workshop will take place at 215 Spadina Ave (Suite 210), Toronto on May 5, 2012, 10 am to 2 pm. Refreshments will be provided for the participants.
Playwriting 101, with Marjorie Chan
Participants will jump in with warm-ups, physical improvisation and group writing designed to spark the writing process. Learn the difference between writing for a dramatic form instead of for print. Expect to move around, write quickly and leave with ideas and inspiration! This workshop is for new writers, or writers new to theatre. Participants should wear comfortable clothing, bring their own notebooks and be ready to play.
