Event: Please join us for Why We Are Here!, Nightswimming

An Invitation to an Evening of Choral Singing and Research in the Distillery District
Mondays 7 – 10 pm from October 15 until December 3

  • Do you love singing?
  • Wish you sang more often?
  • Want to join others with the same desire?

Nightswimming invites you to join us this fall for singing and theatrical surprises. Artistic director Brian Quirt, writer/performer Martin Julien and guest facilitators including Christine Duncan, Reza Jacobs and Bryce Kulak are continuing a long-term project that explores choral singing and a cappella music. The goal is to develop Why We Are Here! over the course of eight sessions between October and December by looking at the dynamics of singing ensembles such as large community choirs.

And we’d like you to participate. We need as many volunteer singers as possible to provide an ensemble we can use as a whole or in smaller groups. We will provide and teach music to the group. No public performance will be involved. No previous singing experience is necessary. And it will be fun – honest.

Attend as many sessions as you like, and bring a friend!
