Canadian Stage Artistic & General Director Matthew Jocelyn and Associate Artistic Producer Natasha Mytnowych have announced a call for actor submissions for the company’s general auditions for the 2013.14 season.
Please submit a résumé and headshot to the address below by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Hard copy submissions are strongly preferred.
Please include ACTRA and Equity status and training and whether you wish to be considered for a musical or non-musical audition. Please staple your headshot to the back of your résumé.
We encourage submissions from artists of diverse cultures. Artists currently enrolled in post-secondary conservatory training programs that participate in the Theatre Ontario Showcase will not be granted a General Audition at this time, as we will see these actors during the showcase. Actors who were seen for a General Audition last year will not be contacted for a General Audition this year.
All those selected for an audition will need to prepare two contrasting pieces, each under 2 minutes in length.
Performers selected for a musical audition should also prepare one song of his or her choosing, no more than 32 bars in length. Piano accompaniment will be provided.
Please note, actors may be asked to perform only some of their selections during the audition.

Mailed packages must be postmarked by Wednesday, November 7. No exceptions. Hard copy submissions are strongly preferred, but we will also accept submissions to casting@canadianstage.com.
Selected candidates will be contacted for an audition by November 12, 2012.
