Synopsis: The CN Tower has collapsed after an organized attack on Toronto. Four people who were in a bar when the attack happened have been cut off from the rest of the world. The last communication they received: stay indoors. But that was twelve hours ago. The TV’s aren’t working, phones are out and a man with a gun patrols the street outside the bar. Wondering who would attack the city—and why—four people contemplate survival, sex, death, and the lives they no longer have.
Theatre Lab is looking for the following two roles:
COWPOKE—the singer in an alt-country band, careening towards 40 years of age. Believes he has never been in love, and is uneasy with his thoughts on sex. In the confusion of the attack, he wonders if he was always in love with his band mate. (MALE NON UNION ACTOR)
FIDDLER—the fiddler in an alt-country band, a woman of few words. Up until the night of the attack on Toronto, she has been in an unsatisfying relationship and sees an opportunity to finally end it now that trauma is an excuse. Ability to play violin/fiddle a definite plus. (FEMALE NON UNION ACTOR/MUSICIAN)
