Whimsical, spontaneous and deeply spiritual, Severe Clear evokes the feelings, stories and astounding physicality of the mythical North as it follows a group of nomads through the Northern landscape. It is a cool, urban response to the wild, spectacular beauty of the North, drawn directly from Christopher House’s experiences in the Yukon.

Rogue and Peasant Theatre Company would like to offer all TAPA members a 2-for-1 ticket deal to see Steven Dietz’s astonishing play Private Eyes at the Lower Ossington Theatre until November 21st. To reserve your tickets, call 416-915-6747 x222 and quote the “TAPA” rate!
Private Eyes is a comedy of suspicion where nothing is ever quite what it seems. Matthew’s wife, Lisa, is having an affair with her British theatre director Adrian. Or is the affair part of the play they are rehearsing? Or has Matthew just imagined the whole thing in order to have something to report to Frank, his therapist. And then there is Cory – the mysterious women who seems to shadow the others – who brings the story to a surprising conclusion. Or does she? The audience will be playing the role of detective in this hilarious play about love, lust and the power of deception that will engage your heart and mind.
Robert Crew (The Toronto Star) says: “David Rosser’s Matthew is sunny, energetic and engaging and Nora Sheehan… brings some unexpected warmth and humanity…”

The Theatre Centre are offering all Arts Workers discounted tickets to see Public Recordings new piece 300 TAPES: $15 (normally $22)
Co-created by Ame Henderson and Bobby Theodore with performers Joe Cobden, Frank Cox-O’Connell and Brendan Gall, sound artist Anna Friz, scenographer Trevor Schwellnus, dramaturg Vicki Stroich, and stage manager and archivist Gillian Lewis.
The three performers recorded their lives onto 100 tapes each for this intimate archive of fact and fiction that explores how our memories and identity are shaped (and warped) by time, our own ideas of ourselves and the eyes (and ears) of others.
With a groundbreaking sound design, a choreography of our everyday twitches and three performers revealing everything, this bold experiment in storytelling thoughtfully and playfully provokes questions about authenticity.
December 1 – 12, 2010. Tuesday – Saturday 8pm. Sundays 2pm.
The Theatre Centre, 1087 Queen Street West (corner of Dovercourt Road)
