Call for Emerging Artists: ARTISTIC AMBASSADORS for the Festival of Ideas & Creation 2011, Canadian Stage
The Festival of Ideas & Creation 2011 is fast approaching and Canadian Stage is looking for curious and energetic volunteers to be Festival ARTISTIC AMBASSADORS!
This year’s Festival focuses on CROSS DISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION. It features esteemed artists from all over the world, emerging and established alike, and runs from May 9th – May 21st.
As an Artistic Ambassador, you will be paired with a company and assist them in rehearsals, discussions, and performance of their new work throughout the length of the festival. Your responsibility will be to liaise between Canadian Stage and the artists involved, discuss the needs of your company and provide the support necessary for a successful process.
The Artistic Ambassador program is a fantastic way to meet the artists involved, gain insight into new creative processes, and connect to some of the most exciting new works being created in Canada. It is also an amazing way to gain full access to all of this year’s Festival programming which offers a huge range of Artistic Intensives, Parties, Conversations, Play Readings, and Performances!
We would also love to offer you two tickets to Canadian Stage’s upcoming production of The cosmonaut’s last message to the woman he once loved in the Former Soviet Union and an invitation to the GYM Playoffs Closing Night Party, which is a great way to meet over 50 emerging artists in the city!
There will be a meet and greet one week prior to the festival which will allow you get acquainted with the Festival and the project you will assist. You can find a Full Description of each project and Downloadable Application Form here: www.canadianstage.com/festival.
