Workshop: Your Health in Your Hands: Managing Stress with Self-Shiatsu, Artists’ Health Centre Foundation

April 2 2012, 6:30 PM
Artists’ Health Centre Foundation
250 The Esplanade, Suite 500 – Toronto, ON

We are all affected by stress. How we address it determines the impact it will have on our bodies and minds. In this workshop we will discuss the causes and the short-term / long-term effects of stress on your health. You will learn self-shiatsu and other effective strategies for managing stress, allowing you to take control of your health and well being.

Shiatsu is based on the comfortable application of pressure to specific points on the body. As the pressure is adjusted to suit the needs and health of each client, shiatsu can be used on anyone, regardless of their condition. It is used for relaxation, stress relief or as preventive treatment and is used to effectively treat countless specific conditions.
