Starting today, check out the new look of Fund What You Can (FWYC) – the crowdfunding platform designed and operated by the Toronto Fringe. FWYC is dedicated to being the most accessible and supportive crowdfunding platform for artists, which is why we are offering the following resources to help you plan and execute your crowdfunding campaign.
CASE STUDIES ON HOW TO BUILD A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN
View the mainpage of www.fwyc.ca and click on our three featured artists: Cameron Laurie, Marilo Nunez and Steven Gallagher. This will take you to case studies that detail some of the most successful and innovative campaigns we’ve had on FWYC. See what works, experiment with your own campaign and then let us know how you did it. We’re interested in creating a learning network, where indie artists can share their knowledge with one another to stay competitive as crowdfunding grows into other sectors.
FREE LEVEL 2 CROWDFUNDING WORKSHOP
Fringe and FWYC are offering a free crowdfunding workshop on October 7, 2014 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Led by industry experts Christopher Charlesworth and Asier Ania of Hivewire, this will be an invaluable two hour workshop that dives a little deeper into the world of crowdfunding.
Crowdfunding – Level 2 At the Fringe Creation Lab, 720 Bathurst St. Tuesday October 7th 6:30pm-8:30pm RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org to save your place in this intimate workshop.
We know that building a great video can be the most important (and challenging) part of your campaign. So FWYC has put together a database of emerging videographers who would like to connect with you. Currently, most of our videographers are based in Toronto – but we are working to expand the list into other cities in Canada.
