Workshop: Are You Rental Ready? – Part of the 2014/2015 TAPA Trade Series, SpaceFinder Toronto

Looking for ways to expand operational revenues? Considering renting space to others? Wondering how to find and appeal to renters?

Whether you own or lease a performing arts venue, a studio, a multi-use space, or even an office, this free workshop has the answers to your questions. Presented by SpaceFinder Toronto, along with its founding partners (TAPA, ArtsBuild Ontario, and WorkInCulture), “Are You Rental Ready?” will lead you through a practical assessment process to help you generate new revenue streams using your existing facilities.

Lead by multidisciplinary artist Caroline Mangosing, director of Kapisanan Cultural Centre, this three-hour workshop will cover such topics as: assessing available space, handling the workload, planning and budgeting, agreements, and marketing. Mangosing’s own experience utilizing Kapisanan Cultural Centre’s facilities to generate revenue provides participants with unique insight into the process of successfully managing rentals.  The workshop will also introduce you to using SpaceFinder Toronto, the new free online searchable database of cultural spaces.
