‘The Ritualized Moment’ is a rare opportunity to explore a unique approach to creation with two of Canada’s most respected culturally diverse companies.
Using Federico Garcia Lorca’s Blood Wedding as a starting point, participants will work toward finding the essence of a scene through movement, voice and highly visual language. We will share our process of moving beyond words, into unreal time.
Soheil Parsa will bring his inventive approach in constructing mise-en-scene to a creation-based dialogue with Trevor Schwellnus and Beatriz Pizano’s own approach to development, “The Dramaturgy of Design”.
Participants will be asked to prepare some text ahead of time.
