Cahoots Theatre Company is thrilled at the appointment of our new General Manager, Kate Ann Vandermeer.
Kate comes to the company with a world of experience as a production manager, now making the transition to general arts management. Her knowledge and passion for both production and administration will be tremendous assets to Cahoots, its staff and its stakeholders.
Most recently, she worked as Assistant Production Manager at Canadian Stage. Prior to that, she was the Production Coordinator for the Canadian Opera Company. Over the last six years, Kate Ann has also worked in a Production Management capacity for various independent theatre companies in Toronto. Although an actor/singer her whole life, she has found her true passion in the Production and Management of Theatre. Kate Ann is a graduate of Queen’s University’s Drama and Music program.
New additions to the company: Kawa Ada and Justine Yim
Other new appointments include Kawa Ada as Associate Artistic Director, made possible by the generous support of the Ontario Arts Council’s Access and Career Development Program as well as Theatre Ontario’s Professional Theatre Training Program; additionally, Justine Yim joins the company as the Metcalf Foundation Intern, thanks to funding from the Metcalf Foundation.
Nina Lee Aquino continues her position as Artistic Director, helming the company through its next phase of development.
