The Luminato Festival is commissioning a cross-discipline collaboration that will feature an outdoor classical piano concert by one of Canada’s greatest pianists, Angela Hewitt, combining urban dance choreographed and creatively directed by Tré Armstrong.
Auditions will be held on
- Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00PM
- Joy of Dance, 95 Danforth Ave, 3rd Floor (TTC – Broadview Station)
Dancer Requirements:
- Able to perform multiple dance styles, including but not limited to: Hip Hop, House, Strobe, Glitch, Krump, Breaking, Popping, Locking, Tutting, Liquid, Freestylers welcome!
- Acrobatic tricks (flips, twist, turns, etc.) would be great to see
- Dancers should be 17 years old and older
- Able to physically perform in a 70 minute performance
- Please bring comfortable clothing, headshot and resume
Rehearsals: April, May & June 2014 (30 hours approx, schedule TBC)
Performance: Wed. June 11, 2014 @ 9:00pm
Compensation of $1,200 for selected artist for all rehearsals and performance

Dancers are asked to perform a one-minute choreography to the provided music. You will not be learning new choreography at the audition, so you should be prepared to show us your own moves.
